Ministry Response to the Defeat of Amendment 4

“This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.” Deuteronomy 30:19

Thank you for standing strong for LIFE! In 2024, we were faced with a decision between life and death at the ballot box similar to the decision facing the Israelites in Deuteronomy. We are grateful that YOU CHOSE LIFE. We praise God, the Author of life, for the defeat of Amendment 4, and we look forward to continuing to save lives and transform generations in our community.

A Letter from Judy Weber, CEO

I am writing this article on the day after the 2024 Election, so please understand my euphoria. I know that by the time you read this, you will have read numerous wonderful articles about the huge victory for the unborn in the defeat of FL Constitutional Amendment 4, but it is still fresh and new for me as I write. I am overwhelmed with thanksgiving to the Lord for saving us from this evil plan. It was the faithful prayers, fasting and hard work by many of the Christians in our area, including you, and those all over the state who the Lord honored by stopping the passage of Amendment 4. Thank you for your strong response to our call for prayer and fasting on November 3rd.

In his book, “The Josiah Manifesto”, Jonathan Kahn has said,

When a civilization sets itself against the ways of God,

the people of God must set themselves against the evil of that civilization.

They must take their stand, no matter the price of that stand.

The good can only be good inasmuch as it opposes evil,

and the greater the evil, the more powerfully must the righteous stand against it.

We stood against it and the Lord gave us a great victory for LIFE! We are thankful for His mercy towards us in Florida.

We have spent the past several months with our eyes on Amendment 4, and now that the amendment has been defeated, you may be wondering, “What now?” The answer is simple. We are here to serve, and we will continue being here to serve no matter what. With the Heartbeat Protection Act remaining in place, we anticipate we will continue to see a rise in clients who are desperate for help. It is our joy to offer the support they need to choose life and see their families transformed for generations to come.

We are grateful to continue doing what we always have: saving lives and transforming generations. We will continue to offer free medical, educational and material services to more families in need. We will continue to offer emotional and spiritual support when our clients need it most. We will continue to fight for every single precious life and honor the Giver of Life. Thank you for standing strong in this mission with us. Your support allows us to continue.

Abortion Law and the Clients We Serve

What if Amendment 4 had passed?  What if Florida had no limits to abortion?  What if the 77 AM women we booked for u/s appointments in October called the abortion clinic before they called FCWS?  Would they have heard the truth of the risks of abortion and the truth of their options?  Would they have had compassionate women pray for them over the phone and in person?  Would they have received the offer of support throughout their pregnancy?

All of these questions ran through my mind when we received a call the day after the election asking if we offered abortions after 15 weeks.  Of course, no one in Florida does, thanks to our 6-week limit.  But what if she had reached the abortion clinic first?  They could not have provided the abortion, but they could and would have referred her to a facility out of state who would do it.  And they would provide financial assistance to go out of state.  BUT…the Lord directed her to FCWS first!

This call was a call of redemption.  She didn’t want to abort her baby, but the FOB was forcing her to pursue abortion.  She lives out of town, but we were able to connect her with a great PRC very close to her.  And when we offered to send her a video on what an abortion procedure would be like at 15 weeks, she said, “Please! Send me that!”  She wanted to show it to the FOB, hoping he would change his mind when he saw what would happen.  By the end of our call, she was sounding so encouraged on how she could keep her baby.  She was eager to receive the referral to the PRC near her along with several educational videos.  And she learned that she had the RIGHT to have her baby.

Our marketing and development team are phenomenal, and God is clearly working miracles through their efforts to draw women away from the abortion clinics and to FCWS.  How grateful we are for every single caller who finds us before they find the abortion clinic.  Even those who don’t choose life, still hear the truth and receive compassionate care.  And very often, they call us back with hearts that are now for life.

What if the Lord tripled led the number of abortion minded women who call FCWS first?!  What if they all chose life for their babies?  What if they all said yes to Jesus?  What if?  May it be so, Lord.  May it be so.

  1. Thank you for fighting the fight for life and Biblical family. Thank you also for providing the education to the faithful leading up to the vote on 4. I can’t remember a more sneaky and evil proposal in my lifetime. God bless you and may He answer your closing prayer.
