St. Augustine Center

As of December 2023, First Coast Women’s Services is now serving the St. Augustine community through our new St. Augustine Center, added to our organization through a merger with Esteem Women’s Center. We are grateful for this partnership and the opportunity to more readily serve families in need in St. John’s and its surrounding counties.

The fight for LIFE is already going strong in St. Augustine. We recently gathered with prayer warriors from across the community for our Sanctity of Human Life Time of Prayer, and the outpouring of support was palpable. As we progress in 2024, we are praying for two primary needs for our St. Augustine Center:

  • LOCATION – We are in need of a larger facility to buy for the Center.
  • WORKERS – We are in need of volunteers and a number of staff positions so that our St. Augustine Center can function at the level needed to serve the growing need in the community

As of February 2024, we have found a building in the South Park Medical Complex in St. Augustine and are in the process of purchasing. This building is conveniently located less than a mile from Flagler Hospital. Since it is already a medical building, it will only need a handful of cosmetic updates such as removing wallpaper, painting, flooring, etc.

We are praising the Lord for this wonderful location!

HELP LAUNCH ST. AUGUSTINE!

In order for the new St. Augustine Center to be fully operational as our other Centers are – complete with a designated ultrasound room, counseling rooms, offices, boutique, and professional staff – we have a number of needs that need to be met.

  • New building purchase
  • IT hardware and software
  • Furnishings for all rooms (including ultrasound equipment)
  • Budget for monthly expenses (including client care services and staff payroll)

In total, we anticipate the launch and first year of services at the St. Augustine Center to cost just approximately $700,000.

2024 Wish Lists

At each of our Centers, we have seen a significant increase in clients over the past few years. In order to provide for the growing need, in 2023, we expanded our hours of operation, staff, and volunteer numbers across our Centers.

This year, as the need continues to grow, each of our Centers has specific needs that need to be met in order for us to continue to accommodate more clients. These needs range from major renovation projects to furniture and tech equipment. You can find the complete list of needs for each Center below.
